I am sure you saw Erin’s post a few days ago on the Robber Barons, so I thought you might be interested to learn that today, in 1835, Andrew Carnegie was born. Wonder how such a man would have celebrated a birthday?

  1. I visited Carnegie’s childhood home in Scotland when my mom and I visited there a few years back. Very interesting – his father was a weaver who was basically made obsolete when industrial looms came along.
